T&T Restaurant Week

Sometimes, life tends to hit its emotional crescendo. Or as I like to call it: Restaurant Week.

Starting today, say goodbye to your diet and make room for Trinidad + Tobago’s Restaurant Week: an endless (okay, 10 days) phalanx of eateries across the country joining forces to give you exactly what you deserve. More food. Here’s how it works…

Make room in the stomach area, then take a look at the participating restaurants and their different menus. There are over 20 restaurants (including Chaud Cafe, The Port, Me Asia, Flair, Fluid and Blue Crab in Tobago) radiating sheer brilliance over the next 10 days. They are all ready and waiting for your body.

Note well: the menus are set for the next 10 days, so what you see is what you get.

Select your top three spots (for each night I mean, duh), and get your reservations on. Things often get a little… dicey around Restaurant Week, so you’ll want to call the restaurant and reserve your spot. Now. A good idea is to have a back-up reservation (or two). Think of it like Common Entrance. Just remember to cancel the other reservations early enough (don’t be rude) when you get into your first choice.

Pay up. There are different sets of (special) prices during Restaurant Week. You can get an amazing dining experience for as low as $120 at some spots, and expect to pay no more than $400 at other joints. Special prices! Yay!

The drink situation… that’s not included. Drinks are charged separately, so if you had your eye on a 10-day liquid diet, it’s safe to say you should wait for T&T Cocktail Week, which may or may not be a thing. (Copyright!)

Bring your friends! Seriously, why eat alone?

Trinidad and Tobago Restaurant Week runs from September 19-28, 2014.
